Photography Projects for 2024-25

At PhotoBath we are always looking for new things to capture and experiment with. We have three different Photography projects currently in play if you want to submit images for and join in with them.

Submissions: Until we see how these projects develop please email us (admin@photobath.co.uk) any submissions at approx.1920 X 1080 px image size. Please include; the title of the image, your name, contact details, and if you like – a few details about the image itself.

We’re eager to see a wide range of unique perspectives on each topic. Whether your take is poignant, straightforward, political, humorous, or anything in between, we want to see it.

1. BROKEN

Broken is a project dedicated to exploring the beauty and complexity found within the cracks, fractures, and fragments of our world. This theme invites photographers to delve into the profound and often poignant stories behind brokenness, capturing the resilience, vulnerability, and hidden beauty that emerge from the physical, emotional, or metaphorical aspects of objects, places, people, systems, promises, etc… being ‘broken’.

2. STILL LIVES

Still Lives aims to push the boundaries of traditional still life photography by incorporating unique and unusual elements that challenge and subvert conventional perceptions. We aim to create a collection of photographs that defy expectations and showcase the creativity of photographers like you.

We’re encouraging you to think outside the box and explore inner lives and interpersonal relationships; surreal and abstract juxtapositions; and unexpected contexts to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary everyday.

3. PEOPLE ARE STRANGE

People Are Strange aims to capture the intriguing diversity of human expression. From the whimsical to the profound, the candid to the composed, we celebrate the fascinating complexities that make each person truly extraordinary.

We are looking for photographs that tell a story, evoke emotion, and challenge perceptions. Show us the unusual, the unexpected, and the unforgettable moments that define what it means to be human. Reveal the extraordinary in the ordinary and to celebrate the beautiful strangeness of people.

As the legendary photographer Diane Arbus once said, “I really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn’t photograph them.”
